Obituary of Candace and Herbert Harris

Candace Harris was born on November 8, 1946 and passed away on October 27, 2020 Candace Virginia Harris was Born in Vallejo raised in Vacaville California Passed away on Oct 27th due to the Coronavirus. She graduated from Vacaville High moved to Roseville where she worked as a vocational worker for many years. She enjoyed her retirement. She loved making quilts, sewing with her friends, arts & crafts, cooking, and watching football and baseball with Bert, her husband. Candace passed away after 37 years of marriage to the love of her life Bert Harris. Sadly, Bert passed away just two days after Candace. Bert also was stricken by the coronavirus, but we believe he may have passed away unwilling to live without Candace. She is survived by her daughter Josephine, grandchildren Samantha and Matthew, Sister's Sonia Cappel, Loretta Thomason, and Brother Frank E. Rankin III. She was preceded in death by her mother, Helen Trumbo passed away in 2001. Her father Frank E. Rankin, Jr., passed away on January 30, 1960 when Candi was 13. Her aunt Josepine Rankin survived the 1906 San Francisco earthquake and passed away 1976. Her first son, Teddy passed in 2017, her brother William Rankin passed away in 2007. She was an amazing woman to her family. She left this earth to soon, will be missed dearly. Herbert Harris was born on July 17, 1942 and passed away on October 29, 2020 Herbert Rex Harris was Born and raised in Roseville, California. Passed away on Oct 29th due to the Coronavirus. He graduated from Roseville High and went into the Navy. Bert started working for the railroad on July 21 1960 and retired on August 1 1997, 37 years of service to Union Pacific. He enjoyed his retirement going fishing and having coffee with his friends. He loved football and going to Roseville High games and Super Bowl parties. He is survived by his daughter, Josephine and his grandchildren; Samantha, Matthew, his sister; Lois Glackin, brother; Monty Harris, and many nieces and nephews. He was proceeded in death by his wife of 37 years Candi Harris, his mother Lora Harris and father Glenn Harris, sister Norma Hunter, sister Marjorie Shanahan and brother Joseph Harris. He was an exceedingly kind and loving person. Bert left this earth too soon; we will miss him so much. In their honor, there will be a celebration of life after the first of the year due to the pandemic.
