Obituary of Billy Joe Artery

Billy Joe Artery November 28, 1942 – January 6, 2018 Roseville, California On January 6, 2018 we lost a warrior and one of the great ones. Billy Joe (BJ) Artery was a true legend and always willing to help someone in need. He was born in Atwood, Kansas and moved with his parents to Merrill, Oregon where he attended Merrill High School and was the star of the high school football team. Upon graduation, Billy relocated to the Bay Area in California to pursue his career in electronics working for Memorex and was proudly one of the first 50 employees of Intel. He retired from Imagine Manufacturing in December 2001. Billy is survived by his loving wife, partner and soul mate Renee, his son Ruben Artery and his husband Cecil White and son Rick Artery. He was preceded in death by son Robert Artery, and is survived by his daughter in law, Mary Artery. Billy’s grandchildren include Robert Artery Jr., Amanda Artery, Ricky, Riley and River Artery and Sierra Garcia. He is also survived by stepdaughter Aubrey Pierce, her husband Dan and their 3 sons, stepson, Cameron Lee and his 6 children. Billy’s large extended family also includes his niece Barbara Kay Artery, nephew Tim Stockwell and his family and many more who loved Billy and will miss him dearly.
