Obituary of Gary Dean Parks

Born in Lancaster, California to Ray E. and Janet (Kenny) Parks August 28th, 1999 he married Lisa Rene' Hewett, in Tahoe, California. He proudly raised two beautiful daughters, Carly and Megann which were his passion above all else. He grew up in Quartz Hill, California where he was very active in Sports: Football, Baseball, BMX riding, Deep-sea fishing with his dad. He loved social gatherings with his friends and family. He attended school in Quartz Hill, California. from grade school through QHHS '85. After completing Welding school he moved to the Sacramento area and became a Welder - Mechanic - Tow Truck driver for ACE Towing in Rancho Cordova. He enjoyed that job and wanted to run his own towing company after retirement. He applied to Sacramento Transit Authority and landed his carrier job. He entered as a mechanic on city buses and worked his way up to his present position, Bus Maintenance Supervisor, Shop Steward, and Training Committee member. He really excelled and loved his job and the bond he shared with the employees. His family was a strong focus of his and he enjoyed a lot of travel. A favorite was Tahoe, Vegas, Hawaii, lots and lots of trips to Disneyland!! His time was spent with his girls swimming, movies, and family activities. Gary loved to cook on the BBQ; and Nascar was another passion he shared with his friends and parents. He valued gun safety and liked to hunt. Gary was preceded in death by his sister Sandra (Sam) and 3 of her children. He is survived by his father Ray; mother Janet his wife Lisa, his two daughters Carly and Megann, and many - many aunts, uncles, and cousins! Gary had an extended family and friends from every walk of life. Private Service will be held in Roseville, CA and also a Life Celebration to share with friends & family in Quartz Hill, California.
