Obituary of Bernadette Marceline Gonzales

Bernadette “Boo”, “Berna” Gonzales of Sacramento, California passed away peacefully with Family and Friends at her side on December 7, 2018 in Roseville, California. Bernadette was born on December 27th, 1958 in Oxnard, California to the late Eve Juarez Casey. Bernadette is survived by her Son Michael Lucas Gonzales, daughter Brandi Gonzales (Granddaughter Quinn Carranza); Sister Veronica Brown (Jeff) and Brothers Randy Wegener (Katy), Richard Wegener and Joseph Wegener. Bernadette worked as an International exchange student coordinator for many years placing many students with hosting American families. After recognizing a need for an International internship program for college students and recent graduates, Bernadette founded and operated her own International student internship program, Go West Internships. Bernadette was an excellent cook and loved to read and travel. Her favorite places to visit were Sedona, Arizona and Europe. She always brought her keen, quick witted sense of humor to every situation and loved to entertain. Her home was always open to friends and family and often filled with the Students she befriended. She was loved by many and will be remembered fondly by all that knew her. A memorial service will be held January 12, 2019 at 11AM.
