Obituary of Alice Ebba Poulin-Morrow

Our Lord called Alice home on March 20, 2019. She was born on November 22, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois. Alice was preceded in death by her parents, Arthur A. Poulin, Sr. and Ebba Marie Louise Poulin (nee Erickson); brothers Arthur A. Poulin, Jr. and William E. Poulin. Alice is survived by her five children; Janet E. King (David), Arthur W. Morrow (Jennie), Norman R. Morrow (Jeanie), James A. Morrow (Jody) and Karen J. Cushnyr (Brad) all from her marriage to Norman H. Morrow. Fourteen grandchildren and nine great grandchildren, along with many nieces and nephews also survive her. Alice grew up in Chicago; where she graduated from Austin High School and went on to complete a nursing degree at the Presbyterian Hospital Nursing School. Alice devoted her life to caring for others, from raising her five children into accomplished adults, mentoring young girls through the Girl Scouts, and maintaining a nursing career that spanned over four decades. Alice was a lifelong learner and encouraged all whom she met to learn something new and never lose a sense of wonder for life. Alice was an avid reader, sang regularly in her church choir and delighted in her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Alice loved animals, with her pet dogs always treated as a member of the family. Alice loved to travel, and always kept her passport at the ready for the next big adventure. She was especially fond of the great outdoors along with the animals and birds of the wild. Alice enjoyed it all: the forest, desert, lakes, and had a special affinity with the Pacific Ocean. Alice lived all over the country, spending time in Southern California, Colorado, Pennsylvania and her last years in Roseville, CA where she lived close to her son Bob and his family. A Memorial Service will be held at St. Matthew Lutheran Church, Rocklin, CA on Saturday, April 27th at 11am. Interment will be at Concordia Cemetery, Forest Park, Ill.
