Obituary of Howard Leroy Butler

In loving memory of Howard L. Butler, born in Chickasha, Oklahoma, to Raymond & Aileen Butler. Howard grew up in Ventura, California, where he graduated from Ventura High, attended 2 years at Ventura Community College & 1 year with the Institute of Banking. Howard was also with the Army Reserve for 6 years. He met his wife, Sharyn Straeck of Ojai, California & they were married September 3rd, 1966. They raised 2 wonderful children, Jeff Butler & Dawn Butler-Delaloye. They enjoyed many happy times with their 5 grandsons, Dylan, Carson, Jake, Chris & Chase. Howard had an extensive banking career of over 40 years with Security Pacific & WFS Financial, managing the Auto Finance Division. Howard loved camping, fishing & golf, where you could find him doing one or the other in his free time. Howard is survived by his wife Sharyn, children & grandchildren. His brother Arnold (Mary) of Ventura & brother Rick (Gwen) of Paso Robles. He was preceded in death by his parents & oldest brother Chuck (Shirley) of Stockton. Howard was known for his dynamic sense of humor & his very friendly out-going personality. He will be forever in our hearts & deeply missed.
