Obituary of Gerald W. Doucette

Gerald W. (Jerry) Doucette, a long-term resident of Roseville, CA, passed away peacefully on October 10, 2022 at the age of 95. Jerry was born in Minnesota on January 24, 1927 to Ovilla and Margaret Doucette. After completing his high school years, he served in the Army during WWII, migrated to Stockton where he met and married his devoted wife Ray, and together they settled in Roseville, CA where they raised their four children. Jerry owned and operated Boy’s Market - a local grocery store, meat market and deli – and was affectionately known by many long term locals as “Jerry the Butcher”. Jerry will be lovingly remembered as a dedicated husband, father, grandfather, son, brother, and avid golfer. He will be missed. He is survived by Wilma (Ray) Doucette of Roseville, his loving wife of 67 years, his son Dennis Doucette (wife Sharon) of Carmichael, daughters Teresa Doucette of Fair Oaks, Kimberly Doucette of Citrus Heights, Nicolle Henderson of Rocklin, six grandchildren Margot Wolking (Russ), Steven Doucette, Richelle Doucette, Presley Mundell (Austen), Blake Henderson, Brennen Henderson, one great grandchild, Emerald Mundell, and many nieces and nephews that he thoroughly loved and enjoyed. He is preceded in death by his parents and 5 loving brothers John, Boyd, Don, Marcel, and Jim. A Rosary will be held at 10am followed by a funeral mass at 10:30am on Friday, November 4, 2022 at Saint Rose Catholic Church, 615 Vine Ave., Roseville, CA 95678.
