Obituary of Suncha Dearing

Suncha Dearing passed January 29, 2023 at her home. Suncha was preceded in death by her parents, husband, Edward Dearing Jr., and grandson, “little Mac”.

 

Born February 23, 1945 in Chinhae. South Korea, to her father, a carpenter, and her mother, a healer. She would later meet her husband of 40 years, an Air Force member. When his deployment ended, they returned to Mather Air Force Base and made their home in Lincoln Village, California.

 

Suncha began her career as a Certified Nursing Assistant and worked for Casa Coloma Nursing Home for 20+ years. Her passion for patient care was remarkable. Suncha touched the lives of all that new her with a smile that lit up our room, and laughter that warmed your heart. Suncha was no nonsense, and told it how it was straight to the point, always!

 

Suncha is survived by her beloved sons, Edward Dearing, and McImely Dearing Sr, her daughter-in-law Marcy and Carol and grandchildren Lily, Harper, Edison, Teddy, Violet, Ethan, Sarah. Suncha leaves many surviving relatives in South Korea and she spoke often of wanting to take a trip back to see her family and homeland.

 

Mom will be deeply missed by many. Our family will live to honor her memory, and all that she taught us.

 

Services will be held at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Sacramento on Saturday 02/04/2023 at 12:00pm.
