I was so sad to hear of Wayne's passing. I had know him for many years being here at Local 20 for almost 24 myself. Wayne was so kind and unassuming but he left a lasting impression on us all. He kindness to the Admin staff was unsurpassed and he always genuinely asked "Daniel how are YOU doing?' He was funny and social and I loved talking and hanging with him after our Union Meetings. We were all part of an ESC family then and I am so glad I got to be a part of it with Wayne. My condolences to his wife, his children and everyone who knew him, he is a tough act to follow. Rest in Peace Wayne. Daniel

My eyes fill with tears as I think of Wayne's passing. He was such a warm, kind, wonderful man. I worked with Wayne when he served on the PGE Unit Board. I'm glad that I got the opportunity to speak with him during his last days to let him know that I was thinking of him and cared about him. My condolences to the family.

Dearest Nancy, Mike and Wayne II - my heart was broken to hear of Wayne's passing. I've know him almost 10 years through his leadership at the Engineers & Scientists of CA, Local 20. Wayne mentored and coached me through my early L20 representational days at PGE. He never missed a beat with his enthusiasm and love for everything around him! His family was indeed his pride and joy. When he spoke of all of you there was always a smile of the love and passion for his family. Wayne was a proud ESC leader and member, too. His friendships will always live on in our hearts. We are better because of Wayne. I am better because of Wayne. When Wayne retired from PGE I was honored to be asked to coordinate a small gathering of his Union brothers and sisters. Wayne's genuine smile and laughter not only at that event but his daily life will live forever. He always appreciated everything - including a slice of watermelon at a picnic! Your husband and father was indeed a great man! My deepest sympathy to all of you, and those who knew and were honored to call Wayne their friend.

Brother Wayne lived his life with enthusiasm, compassion and joy. I always looked forward to our annual meetings. Because I knew that Wayne would lift our spirits with his kindness and words of wisdom. I appreciate the legacy that Wayne left with ESC. And all that he did to help his fellow employees. He'll be missed but never forgotten.

I was so saddened to hear of Wayne's death. He was one of the kindest men I have ever met, yet he stood up against injustice and fought for his union brothers and sisters. Wayne loved ESC Local 20 with all his heart, and he generously gave his time and expertise to help out whenever there was a need. He will be deeply missed. My heart goes out to his family. In unity, Debbie Durham Cissna

Wayne was a union brother and a dear friend. I will miss him dearly, especially our long phone and text conversations - often on topics I didn't really understand very well - but Wayne was very enthusiastic. His enthusiasm was infectious. He was also very funny and had many stories, especially about his family and fishing adventures. I love you, Wayne.

As a PGandE Substation Electrician, I worked with Wayne when there were concerns regarding electrical distribution circuit regulation and protective circuit protection equipment. I found him to be a very knowledgable and conscientious engineer. Often times, I would meet with him in the Auburn Engineering office and after discussing job related issues, we would chat about other things besides PG&E stuff, which was very enlightening. I was saddened to learn he passed away, but now, no more pain and suffering. His memory will live on in our mind and in our hearts. My condolences to the Ash Family.
