Obituary of Walter G. Traub

Walter George Traub Jr., age 90, of Citrus Heights, California, passed away on March 22nd, 2020. He was born on March 25, 1929 in Berkeley, California. He was preceded in death by his parents Walter George Sr. and Kathryn Louise (Doolittle) Traub, and his late wife Edwina Agnes (Shockley) Traub. Walter is survived by his loving family; wife Rose (Aiello) Traub; children Paul Traub and his wife Betty Jo, Kathleen Landrum and her husband Michael, and Donald Traub and his wife Laura; step children Joe Aiello and his wife Debbie, George Aiello and his wife Jo Ann, and Marianne Cooper and her husband Tony; grandchildren Lauren Traub, Elizabeth Traub, Samuel VeraSforzza, Michael Savage, and Daniel Traub; step grandchildren Nicole Naditz and her husband Alan, Ashley (Aiello) Prieto and her husband Ricardo, and Lindsay (Aiello) Dickerman and her husband Patrick; great grandchildren Triston and William, and Shoshanna Lior VeraSforzza; step great grandchildren Calen Naditz, Logan Dickerman, Lila Dickerman and Sydney Prieto. Walt graduated from San Jose State University in 1951, and later worked for IBM as a Senior Marketing Representative until his retirement in 1987. His drive for excellence and love for serving his customers was evident in everything he did. He was an avid photographer, auto enthusiast and skilled model builder. He loved drawing silly caricatures and had a sense of humor that could bring a room full of people to tears of laughter in just minutes. He believed in and loved the Lord Jesus, leading his family to do the same. He found peace in knowing that his true home was with the Lord. His innumerable acts of selfless sacrifice to family, friends, and all those he encountered are a testimony to that love.
