Obituary of Kenneth Edward McCann

He was born on May 28, 1935 in Chicago, Illinois and was a long term resident of Cicero, IL, followed by Huntington Beach, CA, Escondido, CA, San Jose, CA and Roseville, CA.

Kenneth lost his battle to cancer in Roseville, CA and passed away peacefully in his sleep to be with the Lord on February 20, 2023. He was 87.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mr. and Mrs. John McCann II, and his sister Florence Kozlowski, brothers John McCann III, Donald McCann and Richard McCann.

He is survived by his wife Donna McCann; children Renee McCann, Gregory McCann and wife Leslie McCann; grandson Hollis Hudson and wife Cheryl Hudson; great grandchildren Hailey Hudson and William Hudson.

While many were being drafted during the Korean War, Kenneth enlisted at the young age of 17 in the Navy. He proudly served his country for twelve years and honorably discharged in 1962.

Kenneth graduated from Coyne electronics trade school and Chapman University.

He proceeded to work in the computer industry for 30 years, learning various aspects of the business. With his vast knowledge of the trade, Kenneth was able to mentor many who followed in his footsteps. Kenneth started and managed several businesses and was a volunteer business mentor for the small business administration’s (SCORE) a non-profit Sacramento, CA chapter.

He had a great love for flying and was a private pilot.

Some of his most enjoyable pastimes included; flying, photography, genealogy, computer research and entertainment.
