Justine Santellano

Obituary of Justine Monique Santellano

Justine Monique Santellano passed away April 7th, 2023 after a long fought battle with liver failure.

Justine was born November 7, 1990 in Watsonville, CA to Andres Sandoval and Sandra Moreno.  Justine graduated high school from Rocklin High School in 2008.  She joined the Army and served her country proudly.  Justine was honored to be a soldier and while serving had great memories made at JBLM Fort Lewis, Washington.  Justine was a 42A - Human Resource Specialist in the Army and learned so much from her experiences.  Prior to joining the Army, she worked in Aviation and her family joined her in Alaska, where they made some great memories.

Justine became a mother to what she would call her greatest accomplishments, Jonathan Andrew Santellano Jr., Jase Regalado Santellano, Jemma LaReina Santellano - and she loved them fiercely.  Talking with her for just a moment she would describe her children with so much pride as well as hope for their futures.  Justine fought her health battle for them.  And, she fought hard.  Justine always stood up for a cause and would try to help her friends and family every way she could.

After being diagnosed with liver failure, she searched for every cure and aide. On February 29, 2020, Justine had a stroke, seizures, and her kidneys were affected because of her liver, but she pushed through finding ways to adapt and heal so she could be there for her children.  In February of 2023 after three (3) years of improved health Justine’s liver began to fail again.  She was hospitalized at the end of March.  While in the hospital she developed hospital pneumonia and her body began to fight once more. Though she fought through all she could, Justine was welcomed into Jesus' arms Friday, April 7, 2023 surrounded by her loved ones.  Justine would tell us to be strong for her kids, love them dearly and always remember to make the days count.

She is preceded in death by her Grandfather 'Papa Joe' Jose Regalado Moreno, and her step-Grandfather 'Pop' Emilio Gamboa.  She will forever be remembered in life by her mother Sandra Moreno, husband Johnathan Santellano, siblings Julia Sandoval, Andrew Sandoval, Katie Anderson, Porsha Peters, and Zack Bruning, and her children Jonathan Santellano Jr., Jase Santellano and Jemma Santellano.
